It's been 1 mth since i last blogged.. Had been super busy.. Mum went for hands surgery 2 wks ago and i had to stay at hm to take care of her.. Only gg for appt at night/weekends when my sis is at hm.. So now, I'm known as maria, nurse, cook, etc.. Haha.. My usual day schedule is as such:
1. Hang out laundry to dry
2. Preparing offerings to deities
3. Make breakfast for mum, sis n myself
4. Water the plants
5. Wash clothes.. (hand wash daily + machine wash every 2 days)
6. Marketing
7. Prepare for lunch
8. Cook lunch
9. Wash dishes
10. Shower my mum in the afternoon
11. Prepare for dinner
12. Cook dinner
13. Wash dishes
14. Keep the clothes
and the list goes on....

I tink i'm falling sick AGAIN! Mouth ulcer, sore throat.. All these sucks!! :(

Went to my cousin's place today to do an investment portfolio update and went to Popeyes (at Changi Airport) wif my 2 cousins & niece.. CHLOE IS SOOOO CUTE!!

Woke up at 8am this morning to get ready to go MFSS for Project Linking MINDS closure mtg.. Had my favourite Char Kway Teow for lunch but forgot to tell the auntie to remove the cockles.. I requested for extra ingredients but 50 cents goes to the extra cockles.. (At least that's wad I've told Putri.. Anyway, I gave Putri the extra cockles.. Haha..)

Being late, I cab my way to Bouna Vista CC to support my fellow IFPAS ToastMasters at Humour Speech Competition for Area U1 & U3.. Can tell that we have the strongest fan club around.. Haha.. Anyway, it was an eye-opener for me and the best part was ..... my fellow ToastMasters, Nigel & Kenneth, won the Area U1 Speech Championship & Evaluation Championship respectively!! Bravo guys!! I'll be dere at Whampoa CC on 24th oct to support u guys!! (if anyone reading this blog is interested in having a gd laugh on the 24th, gif me a call ya..)

Delivered my maiden speech at IFPAS ToastMasters mtg last nite.. My evaluator told me that my speech is fit for a more advanced level, and it was difficult for him to evaluate based on the criteria set for an ice-breaker.. Haha.. Instead of introducing myself to the club in a light-hearted way, I'd chosen a philosophical approach, talking about my ability to make decisions.. Haha.. My evaluator and even my mentor were stunned.. Haha..

Woke up at 6am this morning for Final Sprint (Pru's annual event) & took a cab just b4 7am (to avoid surcharge & ERP, which could amount to $10) to Suntec Convention Hall.. And for the early birds (like yours truly), Pru rewarded us with breakfast.. For lunch, my colleagues & I got a treat (buffet) from our manager at ground floor, Suntec Convention Centre.. Went for a 4-hr long appt with a prospect.. Haha..

I guess it's in the blood of every well-trained girl guide to pack her barang barang before the event day.. So, i guess I'm gonna try to keep my eyes open and pack my bag after blogging.. Anyway, I'm gonna escape from civilisation from tml til sunday for my cousin Jolyn's 21st b'day chalet.. Haha.. At Aloha Changi.. Anyway, had to go get the helium balloon pumped up at Parco Bugis tml b4 reaching her hm at 1pm.. After tat, i dunno wad'll happen.. I'll just haf to play by the ear.. *pray for me* O.o

Just watched Stars with a Cause on channel U.. It's about MediaCorp artists going to third-world countries to do voluntary service.. Suddenly i tot of Dreams 5.. When I was at PBP for the 9 days doing my service learning, the days practically flies.. For me, as an expedition leader, I didn't really haf the time (unlike the participants) to get myself absorbed into the environment.. Cos as a leader, we've mtgs every nite after the participants' lights out.. We barely haf time to slp, nt to mention, put myself into the shoes of the locals.. In short, I miss Dreams 5!!

Personally, I simply love reading his blog cos of his writing style - straightforward.. Seldom see him online nowadays = no chance to tell him DO NOT STOP BLOGGING!! Must be busy kayaking, i guess.. Haha..

Anyway, was reading my juniors' writeup/reflections on the Project Linking Minds.. Quite satisfied tat at least they've learnt something out of it, that simple is bliss and (in fred's words) "learn to appreciate the simple blessings of life".. Of course, the politically correct answers were there too, like leadership and "hoping to join such projects in future".. Haha.. (I'm sure Putri must be feeling a sense of achievement when she was reading the writeups, just like myself when I read hers during Dreams 5.. Hmm.. Better dun mention DREAMS 5 again.. If not, she'll write a whole blog on Dreams 5 again, in her blog.. Trust me, she'll do it.. Haha..)

Well, for my business portion, boss was "instilling" in me "a sense of urgency" yesterday.. How ironic.. I used to scream at my girls on the same issue and yet I've no sense of urgency.. Well, well.. So for now, my target is to have at least 1 appointment/day on weekdays and 2 appointments/day on weekends.. Frenz reading my blog, you can help by either becoming my client, and/or refering your love ones to me!! Lunch is on me!! Insurance is a Gift of Love.. I love my family deep enough to do something (about my life insurance and hospital plan), what about you?

This is my 238th blog post le.. Haven been blogging too much.. Cos dere's some personal things that I won't share in public.. Anyway, went to watch Harry Potter wif ZL, PW, ZY, May & her bf 2 days back.. The movie is a disappointment.. I told ZL (who didn't read the bk), the movie didn't protray the suspicion of who is the Half-Blood Prince.. At least, while I was reading, I tot it's Voldemort lor.. Haha.. N from the bk, I like the scene of Dumbledore's funeral lor.. Super sad, super unknown future.. Bt it's nt filmed in the movie.. Only haf the scene of Harry Potter saying he's nt gg back to sch the following yr.. Overall, i rate 3/5.. Just pass.. Somehow, this time round, the movie has lost its magic.. Disappointing.. The only thing tat made the night was standing in AMK Mrt Station wif ZL, PW & XY, toking abt our sec sch days.. Haha.. We stood dere for almost 45mins wor.. OMG!! Haha..
